The Honda Motor Company wanted me to illustrate a mural for their headquarters in Torrance, CA. The illustration was printed on 10' x 22' fabric, then mounted on an acoustical wall panel.
This was designed for the dTank Custom Furniture office in North Hollywood, CA. The CEO of the company wanted me to include visual elements that referred to the company's history and work culture. Because dTank was also a design firm that worked with a lot of materials. I made sure to include materials their designers used on projects, such as; wood, metal, granite and plastic.
My stairs illustration was intended to be an outdoor mural. It was going to be printed on a stretchy canvas and mounted on a wall floor to ceiling, much like the Honda mural. However the client (a commercial interior design firm) wanted to change the size so it could be displayed at the lobby of their property.
